Chase has introduced a Chase Sapphire event this week surrounding the 2020 Sundance Film Festival located at 573 Main Street in Park City, Utah. According to Chase, they opened a lounge space to be the Sundance Film Festival attendees home base. At this pop-up Sapphire Lounge, festival goers can enjoy complimentary refreshments and signature dishes from around the country, attend question and answer sessions with actors and filmmakers, mingle with other loungers and power up their devices at charging stations. The most interesting thing that stands out about this specific Sapphire Lounge experience is that there are no tickets required, and the event is open to the public from January 24th through January 31st 2020 from 11 am to 5pm MT. This is a fascinating spin on the typical pop-up lounge which typically requires you to be a card member for entry. It appears as though Chase wants to give the general public a taste of what it would be like to be a Chase Sapphire card member, and tease them with a few card members only exclusive events we'll discuss below.
Feeling slighted that you are paying $550 annually for your Chase Sapphire Reserve and just about anyone can walk into your Chase Sapphire Lounge? Don't worry, there are actually a few Chase Sapphire card member exclusive perks at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. According to Chase, as a Sapphire card member you will have access to the following complementary benefits at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah:
Card Member Parties - There are two Chase Sapphire card member exclusive parties where Sapphire members can mingle, dance, and connect over craft cocktails and gourmet hors d'oeuvres. There is a Premier Party at January 25th, 2020 from 8pm to 12am MT and a Card Member Party on January 30, 2020 from 8pm to 12am MT. Both parties will be thrown at Chase Sapphire on Main located at 573 Main Street in Park City.
Priority Box Office Lines - As a Sapphire card member you will have access to card member only lines at the Sapphire Box Office enabling you to snag tickets to the most anticipated showings at the Sundance Film Festival. The Sapphire Box Office is open from January 23 to February 2, 2020 from 8am to 7pm MT and is located at The Gateway, 136 Heber Avenue on the Second Floor.
Dining Concierge - Chase teamed up with Bon Appetit and created a dining concierge for Chase Sapphire card members. The Concierge is open January 24 - 31, 2020 from 11am to 6pm MT and is located at Chase Sapphire on Main (573 Main Street, Park City).
Card Member Lounge - Get away from the Sundance Film Festival crowds and recharge with some coffee or socialize with some drinks in the Sapphire card member only lounge. Sapphire card members must show their card to gain access for themselves and one guest. This card member lounge is also located at Chase Sapphire on Main at 573 Main Street. The card member only lounge will be open January 24 - 31, 2020. The Coffee Bar is open from 11am - 2pm MT and there will be Beer and Whiskey Tastings from 3pm - 4:30pm.
Yoga Classes - Chase Sapphire card members can enjoy a complimentary Yoga hour with a master instructor. You must register in advance for these classes at the Chase Sapphire on Main information desk. There are only two Yoga classes available: Saturday, January 25th at 9:30am MT and Thursday, January 30th at 9:30am MT.
Final Point
It's really exciting to see more credit card lounges opening at events such as the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. In the past we have been more excited about American Express Platinum Houses, but it appears Chase Sapphire is really becoming a presence at exclusive events, such as Art Basal last month.
